In January 2022, Todd Fisher officially became the 10th executive director-treasurer of Oklahoma Baptists. He leads the many ministries of the state convention and serves churches, pastors, staff and directors of missions/associational mission strategists of the associations in Oklahoma.

Fisher believes the focus of Oklahoma Baptists should be missions, church planting, church revitalization, discipleship in the local church and fulfilling the Great Commission by reaching communities in every corner of the state with the gospel.

He very much enjoys serving the pastors of churches in Oklahoma and encouraging them in their calling to shepherd the local church.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being in the wide variety of churches I have had the privilege of preaching in this past year,” Fisher said. “From small, rural churches to large, urban churches, Oklahoma Baptists do not have uniformity but are unified in their commitment to the Word of God and carrying out the Great Commission.”

He feels unity around the message and mission God has given is important.

“With unity, we show a lost world the power of the Gospel,” he said. “We want to keep our state unified and out of the weeds and ditches and keep our focus on the main thing.”

That main thing is building God’s kingdom by bringing people to Jesus and making disciples who make disciples.

Todd and his wife, Jamy, have three children. Their son, Zach, is married to Cassidy, and their daughters are Carly and Anna.

Todd asks prayer for wisdom and discernment to serve churches and pastors well and that he will also manage the demands of his busy schedule well.

Pray also as he strives to live out his life verse: Therefore I, the prisoner in the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received (Eph. 4:1).

Because of the generous giving of Oklahoma Baptists through the Cooperative Program, an amazing array of ministries are supported. This unified giving encourages fellowship with other believers all over the world. Collectively, Oklahoma Baptists are advancing the Gospel together.
