Are you the women’s ministry or Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) leader of your church? Would you like to network with other leaders who share your passion for reaching women? If so, don’t miss the upcoming Embrace Retreat Jan. 9-10.

This annual weekend retreat is changing venues in 2015 to accommodate the growing number of women in the Tulsa area and provide additional space for attendees. Tulakogee Conference Center in Wagoner is the new venue for the event.

“Seasons of a Leader’s Life” is the theme based on the popular book by Jeff Iorg, president of Golden Gate Seminary. It is designed for the emerging leader as well as the mature leader of a local congregation.

“This weekend has become an annual favorite for women who desire to have a setting where they can spend quality time with the Lord and with each other,” said Kelly King, Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO) women’s specialist. “In the past, we only allowed 50 women to come and only one per church,” said King.

By moving the event to Tulakogee, women can now room with someone else from their church and there are 75 total spots available.

“One of the unique aspects to this event is the relaxed atmosphere and unstructured schedule,” said King. “We let leaders determine the topics most relevant to them while we spend quality time investing in each leader.”
