Oklahoma Baptist pastors and church members are invited to attend upcoming “Who’s Your One?” evangelism workshops taking place at OKC, Quail Springs, 14613 N. May Ave., on successive Wednesdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.

The event, which is being promoted in partnership with Oklahoma Baptists, will equip all those who attend. The schedule for both weeks, on Wednesdays Oct. 26 & Nov. 2, will be:

4-5:15 p.m.Session for Pastors with Q/A. This session is for pastors and church staff members.

5:30-6:30 p.m.Fellowship Meal with Pastors. Quail Springs will host pastors and church leaders for meals and leading discussions of how God is working in Oklahoma Baptist churches.

6:30-7:45 p.m.Session for Pastors and Church Members. Quail Springs congregation will attend these sessions.  Church members from all Oklahoma Baptist churches are invited to attend.

“We are praying Oklahoma Baptist pastors will come,” said Stephen Rummage, pastor of Quail Springs. “Even if you cannot attend both weeks, please come to at least one. You will be glad you came. Quail Springs will roll out the red carpet for you, your staff, and your church members who attend. Most of all, we join you in praying and preparing to reach ever-increasing numbers of people with the Gospel of Christ.”

The speaker for Oct. 26 is Danny Forshee, lead pastor of Austin, Texas, Great Hills. Forshee taught evangelism at Southeastern and Southwestern seminaries, hosts a weekly podcast called REvangelical and has a passion for training and encouraging pastors. He will lead an afternoon session called “The Pastor on the Front Line of Evangelism,” which will include Q/A. His evening session will be “For the One,” a powerful word on personal evangelism.

On Nov. 2, the speaker is Jimmy Scroggins, lead pastor of West Palm Beach, Fla., Family Church. Under Jimmy’s leadership, Family Church has grown to a network of neighborhood churches in South Florida. Scroggins is the creator of “3 Circles,” which God is using to start Gospel conversations all over the world. In the afternoon session, he will talk about “Leading the Church with an Evangelistic Vision,” including Q/A. That evening, Jimmy will walk through “3 Circles” from beginning to end.

Alan Quigley, who serves as Oklahoma Baptists associate executive director for church resources, encourages pastors and church members to attend the workshops.

“The ideas and teaching concepts of ‘Who’s Your One?’ are transformational and equip pastors and lay people to take part in personal evangelism in a powerful way,” Quigley said.
