Momentum

Momentum is a one-night worship gathering for young adults, ages 18-24. Hundreds of students and young adults from across Oklahoma will attend the event hosted annually by the Oklahoma Baptists Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at Moore, First on Sept. 5.

“Momentum is a high-energy event aimed at helping BCM and church groups come together to kick off the semester and motivate students to live out the Gospel on their college campuses,” said Chad Coleman, Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) Director for Oklahoma Baptists.

The speaker for the event is Shane Pruitt, National Next Gen Director for the North American Mission Board, and Dustin Searles from Durant, First will be leading worship.

Momentum will begin at 7:00 pm. For more information, email cjones@oklahomabaptists.org.

The Call Conference

On September 6, Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) will host The Call Conference, an annual event designed for individuals who are exploring or pursuing a call from God to ministry leadership. Those in middle school, high school and college are encouraged to attend. Parents and leaders in churches will also be encouraged and trained in how to mentor emerging ministry leaders.

“Is God calling you?” is the foundational question that must be answered by anyone considering entry into a lifetime of ministry or missions leadership. God is calling a new generation of kingdom leaders and The Call Conference will help students in answering that question and will provide tools to work through the process of pursuit and calling.

Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. and throughout the day there will be general sessions and multiple breakouts geared toward helping those in attendance recognize and practice God’s call on their lives.

Cost for attendance is $10 for one to five attendees, $60 as a group cost of six to 14 attendees and groups of 15 or more will cost $70. For more information, visit https://www.oklahomabaptists.org/youth/evangelism/the-call-conference/.

Priority of Leadership Conference

On Sept. 11, the 2025 Priority of Leadership Conference will be held at Oklahoma Baptist University’s (OBU) Recreation & Wellness Center (RAWC). Admission is free, but registration is required.

For years, Oklahoma Baptists have been placing an emphasis on preaching and its importance in the health of the church during the Priority of Preaching conferences. Now, added emphasis on pastoral leadership and administration is being included.

This conference is not just for senior pastors. Members of ministry staff, key leaders in churches or those called to ministry who want to learn more about leadership and administration within the church are invited as well.
