As we near the end of 2015, I want to thank all who have supported Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center this past year. Even with the flooding, which forced the camp to close one week and allowed only one evening service invitation in another week, there were 4,651 total decisions, with 1,938 professions of faith. God’s Hand of blessing and generous donors made that possible. Consider the word, GIVE.

Generosity is a biblical trait. “… and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  Acts 20:35b (KJV) “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor. 9:7 (KJV) In November, a generous couple, who wishes to remain anonymous, gave $500,000 to eliminate the debt on the tabernacle. That’s true generosity. Add the gifts of the Green family (Hobby Lobby), the Mathena family, the Thompson family (Wynn Construction) and the Downing family to the couple’s gift, along with the almost 9,000 other donors through 52,000 individual gifts—God has surrounded us with unbelievably generous donors. Please join them in giving a year-end gift.

Information. If a tax receipt is important to you, mail your donation before Dec. 31. The postmark date must be no later than Dec. 31 to be counted on your 2015 tax return. Other gifts, such as stocks and real property, must be gifted according to IRS rules for an accepted IRS donation. Such gifts as stocks and real property require more than one day to be accepted, so be informed and check with your accountant or tax advisor about the gifting rules.

Visualize your gift in action. A gift to the Falls Creek Centennial Campaign will provide an opportunity for more people to hear about the Gospel at Falls Creek. You know when young people and adults enter the gates, they will be able to hear the Gospel. And as the Word of God promises in Isa. 55:11, “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” God’s Word has definitely prospered at Falls Creek, and your gift, like God’s Word, will not return void, but will bless many lives for many years to come.

Encourage others to give. Your family, friends at church, your Sunday School class or small group has seen the impact that Falls Creek has had on the life of your church. If you are like me and have been blessed by the ministry of Falls Creek, you certainly will want to share the story of the tens of thousands who have come to know the Lord at this incredible place of ministry. With cash and pledges made, we are now only $307,000 from reaching our Falls Creek Centennial Campaign goal. Not since we began with the “For the Sake of the Call” campaign, and including Phase I of the Falls Creek Centennial Campaign, have we been this close to being debt free. Tell the story of Falls Creek and help others to share in this ministry that has been such an encouragement to so many.

So GIVE that others will hear the Gospel and so that we can celebrate the blessing of being debt free in 2017 for the 100th anniversary of Falls Creek.
