Bentley Hill has served with Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) about 28 years, with the last nearly 24 at Carl Albert State College (CASC) in Poteau.

“College campuses are some of the greatest mission fields in the U.S. today,” Hill said. “Being able to watch students come to know Christ and grow in their faith is both rewarding and challenging.

“There are still so many college students who have never heard the gospel message, and it is our privilege and responsibility to provide this opportunity,” Hill continued.

The CASC BCM allows students to live out their faith through evangelism, discipleship, missions, and leadership. One way the BCM trains students to share their faith is through SWAT (Students with a Testimony), a team that shares a 45-minute music and drama program with area churches.

“Please pray for more students to come to know Christ and to understand what it means to take up their cross daily,” Hill requested.

As of January, Hill moved into the position of director of missions in LeFlore Association, serving 52 churches in Southeastern Oklahoma.

Leflore Association has three major ministries: Disaster Relief, construction—known as Thumb Busters for Christ—and Set Free Ministries, which focuses on recovery from substance abuse issues to a life that honors Christ.

Hill said he looks forward to working side-by-side with local churches and pastors to further the kingdom, and to continue to serve at the CASC BCM part-time until that position is filled.

“Whether it is on a college campus or through an association, we are so much better together,” Hill said. “That’s one of the many reasons I enjoy being an Oklahoma Baptist.

“Eph. 2:10 reminds me,” Hill continued, “that even through these difficult times, God has a plan for our lives, and we can only realize that plan as we walk closely with Him.”

Because of the generous giving of Oklahoma Baptists through the Cooperative Program, an amazing array of ministries are supported. This unified giving encourages fellowship with other believers all over the world. Collectively, Oklahoma Baptists are advancing the Gospel together. Learn more at oklahomabaptists.org/cp
