With the Oklahoma Baptists’ GoStudents Mission trips previously scheduled for 2020 being cancelled due to COVID-19 travel considerations, a new online mission opportunity was announced this week.

Brian Baldwin, who serves as student evangelism and missions ministry Partner for Oklahoma Baptists said, “Christians from the early church until now have always been powerfully leveraging technology for the sake of the Gospel.”

Baldwin announced, “We are excited to host the first-ever GoStudents Online Mission Project.”

The project, designed for Oklahoma Baptist youth, takes place April 5-12 and is a weeklong digital/home mission project, where students engage their own spheres of influence with the Gospel.

The project equips students to share the Gospel in online and digital platforms, including social media. Using a “prayer, care and share” model, among other techniques, the program has the potential to mobilize many students and youth ministry leaders.

A free downloadable resource guide for the online mission project is now available online at www.gostudents.org.

“While the Coronavirus has impacted our ability to take students around the world right now, we can still take the Gospel around the world with the tools of technology God has given us,” Baldwin added.
