The Oklahoma Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists (OCOSBE) will present the Monday morning session of the 2013 Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma State Evangelism Conference.

This year, in addition to the preaching, testifying, and music from OCOSBE members, the State  Senior Adult Choir will be featured. The Senior Adult emphasis will be a part of the opening session, and the afternoon will include “breakout sessions” geared toward this emphasis.

OCOSBE music leader, Craig Stuke, will be joined by Wayne and Norita Testerman, YoYo Collins, Becky Wright, Marsha Ray, and Rusty Vineyard in sharing music beginning at 9 am. Rusty McCormick will be sharing a testimony, with Duane Hunt, Richard Hight, Ernie Perkins, and Charlie Keim preaching.  There also will be a chalk art presentation from at least one of the state’s evangelists, including Richard Hight.

The theme for the session is “Serving Through Evangelism” with Rom. 12:1-2 as the theme scripture, in conjunction with the overall SEC emphasis of service.

“The purpose of this opening session,” said OCOSBE President Craig Hobbs, “is to worship, praise, and serve our Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Hobbs added, “The key to leading worship is not so much in leading, but in worshipping in Spirit and in Truth.  Our state evangelists are not performers, but humble servants of the Lord and His church. We encourage everyone to be a part of this session.”

The Monday morning session is scheduled to run from 9-11:45 am.
