Andy Taylor serves as the regional ministry partner for east-central Oklahoma. He stepped into this role in 2022. His job is to encourage, resource and support pastors and congregations in the Tulsa, Washington-Osage, North and South Canadian, Rogers, Cimarron, Banner and Pott-Lincoln associations.

As a former pastor, Andy knows personally that pastoral ministry can be lonely, discouraging and exhausting. He travels many miles to make sure no pastor ever feels lonely in ministry. He recognizes the importance of partnership and brotherhood. Of those pastors who express loneliness in ministry, Andy said, “May it never be!”

Additionally, Andy co-hosts a podcast that launched in June 2022 called “The Feeding & Leading Podcast.” This podcast is specifically designed to encourage and equip pastors and other ministry leaders with helpful tips on topics such as how to extend an effective invitation, helping the called and how to construct an effective conclusion to a sermon. This great resource is available because of generous giving through the Cooperative Program.

Andy and his wife, Laurie, reside in Broken Arrow and have three older children: Seth, Cole and Lexie. Andy asks prayer for Seth and his special needs, for Cole as he studies at Oklahoma Baptist University and for Lexie as a “soon to be junior” in high school. Pray for Laurie as she balances caring for a special needs adult child, working for a great ministry and being a great mom and wife. Pray also that Andy would be safe as he travels and that he would experience great fruitfulness in his relationship with pastors and their congregations.

Because of the generous giving of Oklahoma Baptists through the Cooperative Program, an amazing array of ministries are supported. This unified giving encourages fellowship with other believers all over the world. Collectively, Oklahoma Baptists are advancing the gospel together.
