Every year, Oklahoma Baptist churches come together to participate in the Edna McMillan State Missions Offering, supporting Gospel ministry across our state.

Through the generosity of Oklahoma Baptists, the State Missions Offering supports ministries making an eternal impact right here in Oklahoma.

The statewide giving goal is $1.25 million. Every gift helps advance the Gospel, strengthening ministries that are making an eternal impact across Oklahoma. Some of the ministries that receive vital funding through the State Missions Offering include the following:

OBU Prison Divinity Program

The Gospel is transforming lives behind prison walls. Through a partnership with Oklahoma Baptist University, incarcerated men have the opportunity to earn a theological education and be equipped for ministry. As they grow in their knowledge of Scripture and love for Christ, they faithfully disciple and encourage fellow inmates, bringing the hope of Jesus by starting Bible studies and churches in prisons across Oklahoma. Through the State Missions Offering, Oklahoma Baptists are equipping these men to make an eternal impact right where they are.

Ministerial Crisis Care

Pastors faithfully care for others through seasons of joy, grief, uncertainty and loss. When they or their families face unexpected crises, Oklahoma Baptists come alongside them with practical assistance, encouragement, and prayer. Through Ministerial Crisis Care, the State Missions Offering helps strengthen pastors and their families, ensuring they receive the Christ-centered care they need as they continue faithfully serving their churches.

When you give, you can know that leaders are being equipped. Pastors and their families are being supported. Prisoners are hearing the hope of Jesus. New churches are being planted. Students are being discipled. Families impacted by disaster are finding hope. Communities across Oklahoma are experiencing the love of Christ.

Proverbs 3:27 reminds us, “When it is in your power, don’t withhold good from the one to whom it belongs.”
