The 108th annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO) will be held Nov. 10-11 at Oklahoma City, Quail Springs.

The theme for the event is “Together 2014.” This theme showcases the partnership Oklahomans have in Kingdom work.

/// SPEAKERS

Speakers include Nick Garland, BGCO president and senior pastor, Broken Arrow, First; Jeremy Freeman, senior pastor, Newcastle, First; Jason Allen, president Midwestern Seminary and Anthony Jordan, BGCO executive director-treasurer.

/// BUSINESS

Messengers to the Annual Meeting will elect officers, among other business items. In addition, the BGCO Resolutions Committee will present 10 resolutions on various topics at the Annual Meeting. To preview the Resolutions, visit the annual meeting website. Resolution topics will include revitalization, marriage and homosexuality and confronting domestic abuse.

Throughout the meeting, there will be a few meals for specific ministers for which reservations are required.

Monday lunches include Hispanic Pastors Commons, Room 1342; Ministers of Education, Room 1200; Missions Celebration, Fellowship Hall.

Tuesday lunches include Chaplains, Commons, Room 1342; Directors of Missions, High School Room; Golden Gate Seminary, Room 1200; Student Ministers, Fellowship Hall.

There will also be a special event for all attendees, an Oklahoma Family Reunion serving ice cream sundaes following the Mon. evening service in the Fellowship Hall.
