The 108th annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma (BGCO) will be held Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 10–11, at Oklahoma City, Quail Springs.

The Annual Meeting website, www.bgco.org/annualmeeting, includes several informational videos, schedule information, church messenger registration and more.

Executive Director-Treasurer Anthony Jordan is prayerfully looking forward to Annual Meeting.

“The Annual Meeting for me is like a big family gathering,” Jordan said. “We all come together and we have opportunity to fellowship together, to do business and to worship and enjoy our time together.”

This year’s meeting includes the election of a new president and other officers. Also attendees will hear a report from 2014, review the 2015 financial plan and hear preaching from Nick Garland, BGCO president and senior pastor of Broken Arrow, First; Jeremy Freeman, senior pastor of Newcastle, First; Jason K. Allen, president of Midwestern Seminary and Jordan.

Oklahoma City, Quail Springs is excited for the opportunity to host this year’s Annual Meeting, according to Senior Pastor Hance Dilbeck, who extended a welcome to all who are considering attending.

“It is our honor this year to host the annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma on Nov. 10-11,” Dilbeck said. “Our people are working hard, organizing and preparing to be good hosts. We want you to come, we want you to bring your people.”

Quail Springs is located at 14613 N. May Ave.

Many restaurants and shopping centers are located near the church, including Quail Springs Mall. The church is near the Kilpatrick Turnpike and Lake Hefner Parkway for those travelling out of town.

There will be childcare provided, but pre-registration is required by Mon., Nov. 3.

BGCO resolutions deadline Oct. 16

All resolutions for consideration during the 2014 BGCO Annual Meeting, other than those generated by the committee itself, must be received by Resolutions Committee Chairman Wendell Lang no later than Oct. 16. Lang is pastor of Yukon, Surrey Hills.

Those submitting resolutions are asked to provide a copy to the BGCO Executive Office. Resolutions may be mailed to Resolutions Committee, c/o Wendell Lang, Surrey Hills Baptist Church, 12421 N. Mustang Rd., Yukon OK 73099, with copies addressed to Resolutions Committee, Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, 3800 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73112-6506.

Resolutions sent by email should indicate Resolutions Committee in the subject line and be addressed to pastorlang@coxinet.net and lwarren@bgco.org. Resolutions may also be submitted online through Oct. 16 at www.bgco.org.
