The 2014 Annual Meeting Program has been set for Nov. 10-11 at Oklahoma City, Quail Springs. The theme for the meeting is “Together” focusing on Phil. 1:3-5 as the key verses.

The meeting will begin Monday night with pre-session music by James Bradford. Monday will feature the 1% Challenge to churches to increase in CP giving, appointment of committees, financial plan presentation and reports on several teams including the Conference Center, the Centennial Campaign, Go Students, the Hispanic Task Force, and new building projects. BGCO President Nick Garland, pastor of Broken Arrow, First, will preach that evening. The night will end with an Oklahoma Family Reunion.

Tuesday morning will begin with worship at 9:15 by Denver Duncan. Reports will be provided by Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, Oklahoma Baptist University, ReConnect Sunday School and Church Planting. Tuesday morning will also feature the election of officers. Jason Allen, president of Midwestern Seminary, will give a message to the group, and BGCO Executive Director-Treasurer Anthony Jordan will conclude the session with his annual address.

Resuming after lunch, Mike Neff will lead the group in worship beginning at 1:45 p.m. Eli Sheldon will present church history and distinguished service awards. Reports will be given by The Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma, Disaster Relief, the Baptist Messenger, Baptist Village Communities, Women’s and Men’s Ministries and Baptist Collegiate Ministry. The Business Session will feature the election of officers and report of resolutions committee. Jeremy Freeman will preach the Word of God. There will be a time of recognition of Outgoing Officers and a time of presentation of newly elected officers before the close of the meeting.
