As Oklahoma Baptists, we have the joyful privilege of giving our tithes and offerings to the Lord through our churches each week. As a member of a Southern Baptist church, you are not only investing in reaching your community, but also our state, our nation and our world with the Gospel of Jesus.

Oklahoma Baptists have learned that we can do more together than each church can do by itself. Our churches choose to give a portion of their budget, usually a percentage, to cooperatively support mission efforts beyond the reach of the local church. Our churches’ Cooperative Program gifts help reach people for Christ, train them, and send them out to reach others.

There are thousands upon thousands of people whose lives were changed through the ministry of Falls Creek Youth Camp, CrossTimbers Children’s Mission Adventure Camp, and Baptist Collegiate Ministry on university campuses across our state. Oklahoma Baptists are planting new churches, resourcing and revitalizing struggling churches, being the hands and feet of Christ in times of disaster, and serving as chaplains in times of crisis.

Through Oklahoma Baptist University and six seminaries, we are training future generations of leaders.  With Baptist Village Communities, Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, and the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma, our reach touches all ages and all stages of life.  We also plant churches across North America and are part of reaching our world with over 3,600 missionaries through our mission boards.

As we come to the end of this year, consider giving a generous gift to your church and give it with joy knowing that you are making a difference for Christ where you are, in Oklahoma, and around the world.

“The point is this:  The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.  Each person should do as he has decided in his heart – not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor. 9:6-7)
