Women may not consider themselves superheroes or think they have super powers, but at this year’s BGCO Women’s Retreat, they will experience what it means to live with spiritual power.

The annual retreat, scheduled April 17-18 at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center, promises to provide a weekend of powerful teaching from nationally-known authors and speakers.

“We always provide top-notch speakers in our general sessions, but our ‘super’ seminar leaders are equally as good,” said Kelly King, BGCO women’s specialist. General sessions will feature Lisa Bevere, Rebekah Lyons, Annie Downs and worship leader, Marcy Priest.

“We’ve definitely had a great deal of fun planning this year’s event,” said King. “I’m not aware of a lot of women’s events where capes are involved!

“This year, our ministry project is connected to an Oklahoma couple serving as missionaries in North Africa and the Middle East,” King explained. “Women will have the opportunity on Friday evening to give towards an offering that will go towards building wells. We believe our missionaries are heroes ‘chasing the darkness’ and we couldn’t be more thrilled to present this incredible challenge to our audience.”

In addition to the lineup of speakers, women have the opportunity to participate in recreational opportunities and see a preview of the movie “War Room”.  “This is a special add-on to our schedule that will take place on Friday evening following the general session,” King said.

The early registration deadline is March 16, and the cost is $75 per person. No registrations will be accepted after April 2. A special price of $35 is offered to teen girls who come with a supervised adult.
