DAVIS—Women from across the region will gather at Falls Creek April 13-14 to explore the theme, “Brave,” at the Oklahoma Ladies’ Retreat.

Keynote speakers for the retreat include Angela Thomas, author of the Bible study, Brave, and Kelly Minter, noted Bible study author and speaker. Included in the retreat are The Skit Guys and worship will be led by The Skitzy Chicks and Matt Roberson.

“We have loved the thought of this year’s theme,” said Kelly King, women’s missions and ministries specialist for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. “Women have tough issues and tough questions. We want this weekend to be an encouraging time of taking those questions to the only One who can answer perfectly, and that’s the Lord.”

There will be three general sessions included in the weekend that will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. The early bird cost of $75 includes three meals, lodging and programming.

Close to 20 seminars will be offered on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning as well as recreational options and a special reception for ministry wives.

“We want to encourage all of our ministry wives to attend a special time planned just for them,” said King. “They will meet from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Tabernacle. There will be a panel of ministry wives who will answer the honest questions related specifically to them.”

This designated time will give ministry wives the opportunity to connect with each other and be introduced to the future plans that the BGCO has for ministry wives.

A special discounted price of $40 is now being offered for teen girls in 9th-12th grades.

“We are praying that moms can use this weekend as a special time to connect with their daughters or just for our teen girls to be encouraged,” King said.

The Oklahoma Ladies’ Retreat has become one of the state’s largest events designed specifically for women. For detailed information about the retreat and online registration, visit www.bgco.org/ladiesretreat.
