The Baptist Messenger has launched a new, free smartphone app. Called “Messenger Go,” the app features news stories, blog posts, podcasts, event information and more.

“For more than 100 years, the Baptist Messenger has been telling the story of what God is doing through Oklahoma Baptists and reporting on what is happening in the world,” said Editor Brian Hobbs.

“While the weekly printed Messenger continues to be our flagship, we understand that God has given us tools of technology, like apps, and we want to harness this technology.”

The “Messenger Go” app, which can be found at, allows users to receive push notifications on their favorite topics.

The free “Messenger Go” app is available on all mobile devices, and is available for download in the Apple and Google app stores. To receive a text message link directing you to the “Messenger Go” app, text “Messenger Go” to 33733.

“Whether it’s following Falls Creek news or missions, reading about theology or church news, our app users will be able to access unique content at an instant,” added Hobbs.

The “Messenger Go” app is made possible by the generous gifts of Oklahoma Baptists through the Cooperative Program.
