NAMB slates Hispanic gatherings

INDIANAPOLIS

INDIANAPOLIS (BP)--The North American Mission Board will host a national Hispanic celebration on Sunday, June 8, from 6-9 pm at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in Marriott Ballrooms 5 and 6 on Level 2.

NAMB President Geoff Hammond and Louisiana pastor Gonzalo Rodriguez of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Metairie, will be the featured speakers. The theme of the gathering is "Living With Urgency."

On Monday morning, NAMB also will host a Hispanic pastors and leaders conference.

Rene Pereira, pastor of Iglesia Bautista Glenview in Puerto Rico, and Richard Vera, the California Southern Baptist Convention's multiethnic evangelism specialist, will be the featured speakers.

The June 9 conference, from 8 a.m. to noon, will be held in Room 209 of the Indiana Convention Center. A continental breakfast is included.
