Baptist Leader Reflects on Sen. Meyers Passing

OKLAHOMA CITY—Dr. Anthony Jordan, Executive Director-Treasurer of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, offered the following thoughts on the passing of Sen. David Meyers, who was a well-respected leader among Oklahoma Baptists.

“Oklahoma has lost a great leader. Senator Myers served his community and our state with distinction. He was a friend and fellow Baptist who faithfully served his church, denomination and Lord. Next week, he was set to be elected to serve on the board of directors for the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma.  We extend our love and prayers to his wife, Sara, and family. He will be greatly missed.”
