There’s a new service in town.
While Baptist Home Care has been around for some time, there’s a new face to the ministry, which is now called Entrusted Hearts.
With the new name, which still encompasses a licensed home health services ministry, comes an emphasis on personalized services.
More than just clinical, home health services, the ministry offers personalized services, which focus on daily activities or companionship that are often non-medical, and provide seniors assistance in remaining independent and living at home.
The personalized services offered by Entrusted Hearts include, but are not limited to, errands and shopping; light housekeeping, including laundry; meal preparation; referral source to community resources; companion services; medication administration or reminders, and assistance with bathing and dressing. These services are provided by Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) or Certified Home Health Assistants (CHHAs).
Other services provided include nursing by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs), physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy.
Clients choosing Entrusted Hearts also receive access to the Medical Equipment team. Entrusted Hearts Medical Equipment representatives deliver all equipment to insure proper set up and to answer client questions.
Personalized services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include live-in and respite care (relief for caretakers).
Clients will pay a direct, personalized service fee, or if needed, an Entrusted Hearts case manager will work with the client to determine alternative payment sources (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance). Also, most long-term care policies are accepted, as well as most major credit cards.
“We are excited about Entrusted Hearts,” said Bill Pierce, president of Baptist Village Communities. “The ministry is already serving more than 800 people at home, providing personal care services, nursing services, case management and medical equipment.”
“We chose the name Entrusted Hearts, because we believe seniors and their loved ones are entrusting us with their care,” Pierce pointed out.
By 2030, there will be more than 72 million persons 65 years or older, according to the Administration on Aging. Created to serve this growing number of seniors, Baptist Village Communities, a non-profit organization, has been operating since 1958.
It operates off a “constellation of services,” including medical equipment, health center, memory support, residential living, skilled nursing, assistance in living and case management, as well as Entrusted Hearts services at home.
“Entrusted Hearts clients and Village residents have access to services they need when they need them in a place they call home,” said Pierce.
Entrusted Hearts operates in four service areas—Oklahoma City, Lawton, Cleveland and Tulsa. Baptist Village Communities is also comprised of eight villages across Oklahoma that offer services such as residential living, assistance in living, heath centers, skilled nursing and memory support. These are located in Oklahoma City, Cleveland, Owasso, Broken Arrow, Okmulgee, Ada, Lake Texoma and Hugo.
