Thank you Sally for standing up for The Word of God. I agree with you 100%. I am ashamed of our governor and proud to say I did not vote for him. I have read that he is a deacon in his church, than I say shame on that church and their leadership. Your son sounds like a great young man. We need more people like him. I know you must be very proud of him.

when you take a stand on the word of God against a lost world you will always come under attack. for a politician to boldly speak the truth on the word of God is amazing to see. the debate that homosexuality is a sin or people are born that way. there's really no debate, for the word of God say it's a sin. any expert or experts that say different did not create this world. I always say what easy to do, say I'm a Christian or be a Christian. there are many people saying they are Christians, but Mrs. Kern show what it take to be a Christian, and that's to step out and speak boldly on the word of God. many will hate and curse you for telling God's truth, but it's all about pleasing God. If God is for you He better than the whole world against you. I know this is true. may God continue to bless you.

Great article--her position was stated well and she was given the opportunity to clarify some of her comments. It's too bad there was not a man in the legislature to stand up and make these comments first. It was interesting to see governor Henry's comments. What bible is he reading from? The homosexual community wants Christians to be tolerant of them, but are they tolerant of the christian view; whether they agree with it or not? I also recall the Messenger featuring governor Henry and some of his beliefs and an endorsement for Falls Creek. Where does he really stand on the issues and his support, if any for representative Kern was weak at best. I for one read the Baptist Messenger and I find it a little troubling of some of the support offered to an individual who did not really come out strong on what he really believes about homosexuals (governor Henry). The Lord Jesus Christ hated the sin but not the sinner. I believe that's what Sally Kern was saying. What did the governor really mean? Sincerely, Richard Goodmiller
